Legal AI
Builders
Workshop
A hands-on workshop for in-house legal, compliance, and legal ops teams. Build AI-powered tools tailored to your practice — without writing code. Delivered as a private engagement for your team.
Built for legal teams that build.
A workshop for in-house legal and compliance functions ready to go beyond using AI tools and start building them — shaped around the roles that already sit inside your team.
General Counsel / Legal Leadership
Equip the team with a technical vocabulary, a realistic view of what AI can and cannot do, and a framework to evaluate vendor pitches.
In-House Counsel
Build intake forms, contract review assistants, and policy Q&A tools — without an IT budget or dependency on external vendors.
Compliance Officers
Automate checklist generation, risk flagging, and regulatory monitoring workflows using AI your team understands and controls.
Legal Ops Professionals
Prototype workflow tools that reduce manual work, without waiting for vendor solutions or developer resources.
Four sessions. One working tool.
Four 2-hour sessions, each building directly on the last. By the end, participants have designed, built, and deployed an AI-powered legal tool tailored to the team's practice area.
Prompt Engineering for Legal Work
How large language models actually work — just enough theory to use them well. Prompt structure, system prompts, output control, and hallucination management. All exercises use real legal scenarios: contract review, clause drafting, risk identification. Participants leave with a prompt library scoped to the team's practice area and usable in every subsequent session.
Introduction to No-Code AI Workflows + Your First Legal Pipeline
What an API is, and why it matters for builders. Introduction to the no-code platform used in this program as an environment for connecting to Claude. Walk through a provided starter template, understand its components, and run the first automated legal workflow — paste a contract clause, receive a risk flag and plain-language explanation.
Build Your Tool
Extend the Session 2 template into a tool tailored to your team's practice — contract checklist generator, NDA review assistant, legal intake form, policy Q&A. The instructor works through each build live on screen. Participants leave with a functional, customized AI tool.
Deploy, Present, and Evaluate
Polish and deploy the tool. Each participant presents — what the tool does, what legal problem it solves, what they'd build next. Peer feedback. The session closes with a practical framework for evaluating AI output quality in professional contexts.
What your team takes away
- A shared prompt library scoped to the team's legal tasks
- A deployed no-code AI tool, owned by the team
- A framework for evaluating AI output in professional contexts
- Access to CloudVista's starter template for future builds by the team
A progressive three-part series.
Each workshop builds on the last. Complete all three and your team has a full legal engineering toolkit — from single-document review to live data pipelines.
Foundation
Prompting discipline + no-code workflow basics. Build and deploy an NDA review assistant. The entry point for the series.
Workflows
Multi-step automation, conditional logic, form interfaces. Build a legal intake system with intelligent routing.
Data & Integration
Connect your tools to live data sources — regulatory databases, court filings, contract repositories. Build a scheduled monitoring tool that surfaces relevant updates automatically.
Parts 2 and 3 are delivered as follow-on engagements for teams that complete the preceding part.
Before Session 1
Three short setup tasks — each under 15 minutes. No technical experience required. CloudVista provides written setup guides and a pre-session check-in so your team isn't fielding questions from your own IT.
API Key
An Anthropic API key is recommended (console.anthropic.com). OpenAI is also accepted. A small credit balance of USD $5 per participant covers the entire workshop. Step-by-step guide provided after enrollment.
No-Code Platform Account
Each participant signs up for a free account on the no-code platform used in the workshop. No paid plan required. CloudVista handles any account-setup questions before Session 1.
A Real Document from Your Team's Work
Each participant brings a real contract, policy, or legal document relevant to the team's practice. This is what the tool gets built around — so the output is immediately usable.
